Food slicer test of the NDR and the SRF?

The Schneider test from the NDR dates from the year 2014. The four models tested were to cut wafer-thin slices of bread and sausage thickly up to the thumb. What should be considered in a slicer test?

In order to be able to guarantee a good cutting of food with a food slicer, it has to fulfil some aspects and bring along certain characteristics. This includes, for example, a safety system or good machine workmanship. The following criteria should, in our opinion, play an important role in the assessment of a slicer test.

Workmanship guarantee ease power consumption

The processing, as well as the choice of materials that make up a machine, is very important. Finally, these contribute to a certain stability, stability and ease of use. How a slicer works?

Slicer can be used to cut food slices to the desired thickness. For this, the food, such as bread or sausage, is placed on the cutting board and guided along the rotating knife. For the knife to rotate, safety mechanisms must be pressed. In part, these are two buttons to be pressed simultaneously. Often the device runs with momentary operation. In these, the knife rotates only as long as the button is pressed. In the case of machines with continuous operation, the knife rotates until it is switched off again, often by operating the same button.
